"This is great for automotive purposes. You get a waterproof connection that is easy to perform and is fully soldered - you just need a lighter. No wire nuts, or shrink tubing - twisting copper and electrical tape. This makes your repair OEM quality. Got the 500pcs kit for a buddy of mine—he’s been wrenching for years and even he’s impressed."

"My husband and I do a lot of DIY around the house with us both having technician experience. We do know how to solder but it's a whole process of busting out the soldering iron and setting everything up so these are a very welcome shortcut, lol. They work really well and are effective at connecting wires while protecting the joint at the same time with the shrink tubing. Pretty worth it if you are looking to save time and eliminate frustration."

"I used these to re-wire my entire golf cart as I installed new lights, accessories and wiring harnesses and the job went smooth and ended up with very professional results.
A standard heat gun on the low setting was all it took to shrink these down evenly and cleanly every time.
No melting of the wiring or anything else in close proximity."

You've Done This Before
You'll spend Saturday afternoon fixing those trailer lights. Crimp the connectors, wrap them in tape, test everything. Lights work. Job done.
Three months later, you're back under there with a voltmeter, chasing the same damn problem.
The crimp worked loose. Moisture got in. Now you're doing it all over again.
And it's not just annoying - it's embarrassing. Your buddy sees you on the side of the road, trailer lights out again. Your wife asks "Didn't you just fix that?"
You know the right way to do it. A proper solder joint with a waterproof seal. The way mechanics charge $100/hour to do.
But who has time to break out the soldering iron, apply flux without making a mess, and spend 10 minutes per connection?
There's a reason you keep reaching for crimp connectors. They're fast.
They're just not permanent.

How SolderStick Works
3-in-1 Technology

1. High-Strength Low-Temp Solder
Not the cheap eutectic crap that cracks under stress. Our copper-core solder alloy melts at just 138°C (low enough to not damage wire insulation) but creates bonds that exceed crimped connection strength by 40%.

2. Dual-Wall Military-Grade Polyolefin
Automotive OEM-spec tubing that shrinks at 80°C to create an IP67 waterproof seal. We're talking fully submersible - the same standard used for underwater electronics.
Tested in saltwater for 6 months. Zero corrosion. Zero moisture ingress.

3. Hot-Melt Adhesive Lining
This is what separates SolderStick from traditional solder joints that crack under vibration. When heated, the adhesive flows between wire strands, creating a flexible strain-relief bond that moves with vibration instead of fighting it.

"Never going back to crimp connectors"
I've had enough crimp connectors fail on me over the years that I don't trust them anymore. Used SolderStick on my entire boat rewire last spring - 6 months in saltwater, not a single issue. These things are bulletproof. Already recommended them to three guys at the marina

Mark T.

" My trailer lights actually work now"
I was so skeptical. Bought them anyway because I was desperate after my 4th time re-wiring trailer lights. Holy shit these actually work. Been through mud, rain, 8,000 miles of highway driving. Lights still perfect. I'm going back and replacing every crimp connection on my truck now.

Dave H.

"Easier than I expected"
Took my boat to a marine electrician who charged $380 to 'fix' my nav lights. Six weeks later, same problem. Did it myself with SolderStick for under $40. Two years later - still perfect. Should've done it myself the first time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes. Your standard heat gun on medium heat is all you need. Takes about 10-15 seconds per connection. No crimping tools, no separate soldering - just heat and you're done.
100% waterproof with an IP67 rating. The adhesive-lined tubing creates a permanent seal that handles submersion, salt spray, engine fluids - whatever you throw at it. We've had customers report connections still solid after years underwater in bilge areas.
Because they actually work. One failed connection costs you more in time and frustration than our entire kit. These are permanent fixes, not temporary patches. Most customers say they'll never go back to crimps.
White: 26-24 AWG (tiny gauge - electronics, sensors, small LEDs)
Red: 22-16 AWG (light duty - LED lights, switches, small accessories)
Blue: 16-12 AWG (most automotive - stereos, power accessories, auxiliary lights)
Yellow: 12-10 AWG (heavy duty - winches, main power feeds, large pumps)
You can in a pinch, but a heat gun gives better control. Too much direct flame can burn through the tubing. If you must use a torch, keep it moving and use the outer edge of the flame.

EXTENSIVE CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

I have many years of experience in automotive and this is by far the easiest solder tool I've yet to use. Simply cut the wires, strip them of the plastic and joint them in the connector. I used a simple heat gun and with 30 seconds I was done. I measured the wire before the repair and got .3 ohms after the repair I measured again and got .2 ohms I pulled on the wires with lots of pressure and they wouldn't let go. Great product!!!

HVAC tech for 35 years. These remind me of the military-spec connectors we used to get, but way easier to find. Just rewired my whole shop's 12V LED system with these. What used to take hours with traditional soldering now takes minutes. The built-in flux is genius. Ordered 3 more packs.

Retired electrician here. Was skeptical at first because I've tried the cheap knockoffs before. But SolderStick actually works like it should. Used them on my RV's converter wiring and my son's truck stereo install. Clean connections every time. The solder flows evenly and the seal is watertight. Worth every penny for the peace of mind.

They work fine for what they are. Used them on my motorcycle's accessory wiring. Main complaint is you can't really inspect the solder joint after it's done like you can with a regular solder connection. Also melted through one trying to use a lighter (my bad). Stick with a proper heat gun. Good for tight spaces though.

This heat shrink solder seal set is brilliant! I’ve used them in my off-road lighting installations on my truck and today, used them to repair the battery connection to my trucks alarm system. This is my go to soldering solution. Highly recommend for anyone that needs to make a seamless soldering connection that self seals with the heat of a pocket lighter or heat gun.

If you've ever chased down a bad connection in a vehicle harness, you know the pain. These eliminate that problem. Used them fixing the tail lights on my utility trailer - the crimps kept failing from all the vibration. 2 years later, zero issues. Also used them on my ATV winch wiring. Pro tip: clean your wires good first.

Every year it's the same story - trailer lights work fine, then they don't. Always traced back to corroded crimps. Switched to these SolderSticks last season. Pulled my boat from Texas to Minnesota twice, through rain and salt. Lights work perfect. Even held up when I accidentally submerged the trailer too deep at the ramp.

I used a mess of these in doing a recent car audio install. These are ideal for secure butt splices. The internal solder and sealing shrink made confident connections when installed properly. Confidence in connections after install are very important. The kit had a good variety and quantity of sizes with an ok case. You'll want a mini heat gun to use these.

Frequently Asked Questions
This is where all the answers to your questions are.
No. You don’t need crimpers or a soldering iron. A standard heat gun works best, but many customers successfully use a hair dryer or lighter in a pinch. That’s part of what makes these so convenient.
It’s both. Once heated, the solder bonds the wires together while the heat-shrink tubing seals everything in place. The result feels solid immediately and doesn’t loosen when handled or vibrated.
Yes. The tubing shrinks tightly around the wire and creates a sealed joint that helps keep moisture out. Many customers use these on trailers, boats, and outdoor wiring without issues.
That’s a common concern, but these are designed so the solder melts at the right temperature before the tubing degrades. As long as you apply steady heat and don’t rush it, everything activates as intended.
Absolutely. These are commonly used for vehicle repairs, trailers, boats, and other environments where vibration and moisture are a problem. Customers often switch to these after crimps fail.
They come in multiple sizes to match common wire gauges from 10-26AWG or 0.25-5mm². As long as you choose the correct size for your wire, the connection will shrink down tightly and hold properly.

Why 50,000 Customers Love SolderStick

Michael

I used these to fix a wiring issue on my trailer, and they worked way better than the crimp connectors I usually fight with. Once the solder melted and the tubing shrank, the joint felt solid right away instead of loose and questionable.

Stanley

I was honestly skeptical at first, but after using a few of these I’m sold. The solder flowed cleanly and the heat shrink sealed everything tight. It didn’t move at all when I tugged on the wires afterward.

Fred

This is the perfect solution to splicing wires. You strip the ends of the wires to be spliced, put the ends into the tube and then run the hair dryer to heat up and activate the bead of solder inside the tube and shrink the plastic ends to form a splice that will not fall apart the second you release the joint.

Ryan

Used these on some automotive wiring and they saved me a lot of frustration. Once the solder melted and the ends shrank down, the splice stayed together and didn’t feel flimsy like tape or crimps usually do.

William

After years of using tape and crimps, this felt like a more permanent solution. It didn’t feel temporary or “good enough.” It felt finished.
